#FrameItFriday (week 52 season 4)
Our household went and got 3rd booster shots this morning so pardon my tardiness. I struggle today with my blog and not to be a Debbie Downer but for the 2nd year we are under restrictions for gatherings, it's tricky to write about rainbows and butterflies (for me at least). It is what it is though and we are all in this together. Last minute plans squashed as we scramble to re-group and come to terms with what we can and cannot do to avoid this "thing" getting crazier and crazier. Enough of that. Got my car back. The engine, in Heather mechanical terms "blew up" but was replaced by the manufacturer on their dime and luckily that dime covered a rental. Anra is alive and is sounding a gazillion times better than it did 3.5 weeks ago. PHEW! Having my wheels back means that huge bag of bird seed I had stashed in the back of it now gets to be poured out onto a spot on the front lawn and a bench out back. As I type Blue Jays, Juncos, Chickadees have discovered their Christmas buffet. I sure hope the 80,000 Canada Geese that are devouring the leftovers in the freshly cut cornfield across the road do not get wind of it. For about a week now they've held a convention in that field and when it's time for "bedtime" they all flock off like a scene from a Hitchcock movie and sleep their food coma off on the nearby river. The freshly fallen snow from a few days ago has revealed who prowls around on our property at night. I swear some sort of Sasquatch deer with huge feet bounced through out back. A wreath I created out of fallen pine cones was smeared with peanut butter has FINALLY been discovered by some tiny creatures, probably the snarky red squirrel. I squeezed a little backroads tour in this week as well, it netted me a couple of shots of Mergansers and a quick stop through a ride program at 11am in the morning! It was in the oddest random locations and caught me totally off guard making me drop my beer and joint. KIDDING! KIDDING! Don't freak out on me. The officer did get a little startled when I pulled out my Canon with the huge "retirement lens" aka Trixie attached. Probably not the cleverest ideas but she did ask what I was up to. So, whatever your plans are over the next couple of days, please enjoy yourselves and stay safe. Thank you to you all who have been supporting my page over the past year. I hope you've enjoyed checking it out. Looking forward to discovering new and interesting things in 2022.
Peace, love and kumbaya,
Heather
