Hard to believe it's already February, anyone else feel that time is blasting by? If you didn't see the video, I went tobogganing last Sunday at a friend's place. I had been driving around with two red plastic sleds in my car for a while now, looking for that perfect hill. Between my chunkaliciousness and the slickness of the sled, my body hurled itself down that big hill like Clarke Griswold had sprayed it's belly with his patented non-stick cooking spray. I swear I was close to breaking the speed of sound and I am very grateful to Bill for creating that mountain of snow at the bottom of the hill or else I'd be in north eastern Quebec by now. lol. I went down that hill 5xs. I felt like a kid until I had to stand up. Thankful there was no video of that. Not a pretty sight.

So, you know when you try and sneak into the kitchen to grab a midnight snack while the rest of the house snoozes? Perhaps you decide to grab a handful of chips or sneak a piece of store bought cake out of it's plastic container? You're doing your best to be super, super quiet and when you're just about to take a bite, you turn around and find your dog or spouse or whatever standing there and bust you? That is what Blue Jays are like. You can be walking in solitude and silence forever and the very moment you decide to drop some seeds on to the snow BOOM, out of nowhere, there's a crew of them. They chirp and squawk and devour and fight amongst themselves for the best of the bird mix. Once the seeds are gone, so are they. They move around like farts in a wind storm.
