#FrameItFriday (week 45, season 3)
This past week we've been extremely fortunate to escape for one final visit to our beloved #StudioNorth. Parting is such sweet sorrow but on to discovering new sunrise and sunset views. Time for another family to enjoy this sacred place.
If you live in southern Ontario, this past week and for the next few days we will be blessed with warmer temps and lots of sunshine. I've managed to explore some back roads that I'd not been down, hike along some new trails and revisit some old favs. Had we known it was going to be so super nice, we'd have brought the kayaks.
It seems as though the Loons have the same idea and have decided to hang out for just a teeny bit longer. I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but the deal with the loons is that the parents begin their migration early, leaving behind their children. They're not children at this point in the year, they're juveniles. The juveniles all congregate in groups about the lake. Mostly they squawk at each other, show off, have little fights and fuel up for their journey to their winter homes.
How do they know where to go I wonder? Do they begin their journey like I do my road trips? Head out and wing it and settle on the first intriguingly named road they come across? Probably not. They must have built in GPS'S or something. It's quite remarkable how they figure it all out. I suppose I could google "where do Loons migrate to" but I think I prefer just to use my vivid imagination and take wild guesses lol. It's lazy I know, but I'm on a mini break and not trying to tax my brain too much. Back to reality next week.
Oh hey, I've got a few more calendars kicking about so get in your order and I'll send them out to you. Some of you have already received them. Who's got theirs? What's your fav month? I am grateful for your orders, thanks for supporting "local".
Ok, time to wind down this week's blog. My covid bubble family and I are all going to be spending the next couple of days soaking up this beautifuld place for one final time. I don't want to miss one single moment.
Hope you are all safe and healthy.
Peace, love and kumbaya,
Heather
