#FrameItFriday (week 41 season 5)

Whoa, it's Thanksgiving weekend, it's Fall, we're a week in to October already. Is it just me or does it seem like time is flying by at warp speed? Warp. Speed.

I'm staring (ok glaring) over the top of my laptop at the turkey we plan to have for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.....it's frozen. Solid. Oh, you know, only because I forgot to take it out of the freezer! Doh! I sure hope it thaws quick because that bad boy needs to be edible by tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed.

I've a number of Betty Crocker things to tend to today so I am cutting this week's blog short with a quick Thanksgiving memory for you and I'm asking you to share some of your fav memories with us all here in the comment section below.

Our entire family, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc used to make the trek up to Bass Lake where my Aunt Eunice lived. She lived in a tiny wee place chock full of character. A farmer's field out back, a sandy bottomed lake out front and one of those metal merry-go-round things in the provincial park down the road. Crunch time, the kitchen would be PACKED with the aunts and older cousins all assigned with tasks to plate and deliver Thanksgiving dinner to the buffet table in the other room. Tight quarters so one would have to improvise as there was pretty much no counter space. The story is, unbeknownst to most of the guests, a salad was made in the kitchen sink along with the earwig that was lurking in said sink. A bowl was dug out of back of a cabinet and "salad" was placed on to the buffet table. To this day, nobody knows if that earwig escaped. lol

Your turn.

Happiest of Thanksgiving to you and yours from my crew here.

Peace, love, kumbaya and gobble, gobble,

Heather
