Check out Trevor (that's what I'm calling him) a young calf I met down one of the coolest dead end roads I've ever been along. He'd just finished up a feeding courtesy of his mum. His nursing skills are horrible, lacking patience and if I were his mum he'd get a smack on his behind for his tug o'war technique. Isn't he something? Do you ever look at animal photos and think "if this cow were human his name would be________". Trevor reminds me of this British actor with red hair who's tall and skinny and in his late 40s early 50s who's name I cannot for the life of me remember! Simon what's his name or something like that. You know who I'm talking about right? That guy who's married to what's her name. Gahhhhh this will consume me until I figure it out.
"Where are those fall shots you've been hinting at Heather?" A friend quipped to me the other day.
"They're coming" I reply and their response? "So is winter."
If you saw my laptop right now you'd say it has more windows open than an apartment building with the heat turned on in mid summer (or some other ridiculous saying that I've just made up on the fly). The shots open on my laptop were taken in the past week and they are the shots I KNOW immediately once I've taken them that I declare when I'm out in the field "that's it, got my fav shot in the can". It's been a while since I could tell myself that. So as per usual you can bet I'll be posting fall shots well into November folks. First, today may be the last day I can get out there and stockpile some fall shots and I've a route all marked out (thank you SO much to one of my followers for the tip). I'm hoping my walking buddy will ride shotgun with me today as my husband Paul is all leafed out. According to the weather network we're getting a crap-ton of rain tonight here in Ontario. You know what that means? Bye bye beautiful vibrant leaves. So one more backroad adventure......just one.
