#FrameItFriday (week 42, season 2)

#FrameItFriday (week 42, season 2)

How about that Thanksgiving eh? Too much food but always, always, always wonderful to spend time with the family.

Here I am again, another week, another story......opportunity knocked last minute and I found myself on the road to our beloved #StudioNorth this past Monday. I just had to make sure I was home by early Wednesday afternoon for work.

I went solo in spite of trying to convince a few of my friends to call in sick and join me lol. Even my husband and the cat could not tag along with me. This is going to sound crazy (even coming from me) but I took along my stuffed bear (Canonbear) and pretended it was my mum. Yes, I did and I don't care what you think.

Tuesday we spent over 9 hours following leaves along every dirt road imaginable. The colours were spectacular, breathtaking and in abundance. I took a lot of video too. You know the kind you could probably do whilst treadmilling. I've begun to post them on my youtube page. I will post a link to that once I've got the videos uploaded. You'll be relieved to know that I don't talk much in the videos, occasionally the radio is blasting but I don't sing along. Lip sync yes, sing aloud...no. Me singing in a video is not a good thing at all

I saw 1 animal the entire day, well one of any significance to me and that was a Spruce Grouse. We had a stare down for about 30 seconds and then it disappeared into the brush. I was mislead by my GPS into a hunting camp within a provincial park (did not get shot at but got stopped at a checkpoint in the middle of nowhere by the Moose authority).

My car and I were guided over a washout on a trail across the lake from our cottage. Talk about a fluke that I came across someone and their dog on an ATV at the exact same time in the exact same place. Let's call them angels my mum brought along. Such a relief because I really didn't want to turn around but I also didn't need to get stranded out in the middle of the bush with no phone signal during Moose hunting season with a broken axle. Thank you my guardian angel!

I was kind of bragging on here about fall colours I was seeing and I jinxed myself because once I got back home and fired up my laptop, it fired up but the screen was black. That will teach me for being such a bragger. So my gear is in the shop, I'm awaiting diagnosis. Fortunately my husband has loaned me his laptop to tide me over, thank god! I'm a Mac gal and he's a Windows guy so I'm struggling a bit in the Windows world without my Photoshop. First world problem right? I am sucking it up and eternally grateful that I have some options available to me.

Oh here's an update on my 2020 Calendars…..just awaiting the final proof and they will be ordered. It will take a couple of weeks to print and they'll be ready to send out. I will post order instructions next week so stay tuned. For those of you who've sent me cheques already, I'll be cashing them next week.

Before I finish, just asking....it's ok to post fall photos until next Spring rolls around right? Asking for a friend.

Peace, Love and Kumbaya

Heather
