#FrameItFriday (week 39 season 5)
It's hoodie season! I have mixed emotions about that though. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE fall because, you know, the leaves however, where did summer go? We took the window air conditioners out this morning, and this afternoon we're getting a few trees taken down (before one crushes our bunkie and a couple of dead pines). We're not fans of chopping down trees but this Manitoba maple (need I say more) has a wicked dangerous lean. I have to say I will be sorry to lose it's shade but would be devastated to see it wipe out the bunkie. Ok, that's the domestic stuff. See that Canada goose in the photo? It appears as though it's surfing and it is. There were a group of them that flew overhead and landed in the surf of Lake Ontario along the waterfront of Ajax the other day. They proceed to "hang 10", "catch a wave" it was quite comical. The last time I was down at the Ajax waterfront was 19 years ago, I was rollerblading and I broke my wrist. Going back there the other day made my wrist ache lol, kidding. If you've never been down along the waterfront trail, you should if you're in the area. It's very accessible for many types of walkers, cyclists, bladers, wheelchairs, canes with paved paths and so many benches to sit and take a breather. The shoreline of Lake Ontario has a touch of stinky weeds washed ashore but once you pass that, it's beautiful. So is the wildlife all thriving in the marshes you pass by. It's nice that it's there instead of box stores and condos.
So, I'm not sure where you live but Tweed this weekend is jam packed with activities going on, specifically I will mention the Tweed Harvest Festival (which is FREE to attend). I hope if you're local (or visiting) that you slide on by the fairgrounds and join in the festivities and of course COME VISIT ME AT THE PHOTOBOOTH! So much work has gone in to the planning of this event, come on out and bring the kids for some fun times AND for $5 you can get a nice new fall inspired family photo taken by MOI. I hope to see you there. Gotta go move my car before the chainsaws show up. Hope to see some of you at the festival (I'll be there Sat.&Sun. 11am to 3pm in the pink hoodie). Have a great weekend and stay safe!
Peace, love and kumbaya,
Heather
