#FrameItFriday (week 34 season 4)
Yep, just like the photo....I'm so excited I may almost pee my pants! Not to worry, I won't (phew) but I am excited! Why? Oh I'm FINALLY going to shoot some live music and that's happening tonight! Where? At the Northumberland Rocks Back festival proudly repping for the first time ever for Sound Check Entertainment (no pressure). Last live music I shot was at the Sanderson Centre for Meghan Patrick, it was Friday, March 13th, 2020 and pretty much the next day the world rolled up it's carpet and locked the doors. Will my camera lens recognize a musician still or will it be searching for that darn grumpy old Heron on the Moira? So you know I'll be masked up (every one will), keeping my distance (with my 100-400 covid friendly lens) and going on a shooting spree (with my CAMERA) tonight in Cobourg. If you're in the area and looking for something to do, hit up the Northumberland website for tickets (if there's any left) or for $10 you can livestream it to your home. I was a tad concerned about their safety protocols but I read over the safety policy on the site as to how folks will be seated etc. so I feel better about the fact that there'll be no mosh pits, no shoulder to shoulder action, etc. Cool eh? So many (new to me) artists will be performing such as Cale Crowe, @The Spirits, Jesse Slack and Jeremy Macklin. Stay tuned for photos.
I also had the chance to finally set up my studio in the bunkie out back. It's also a place to go and chill so I'll have to move a bit of furniture aside when I'm shooting. It's nice to have the backdrops all hung from the ceiling and easy to pull down when needed. I tracked down my bins of costumes and hats and whole whack of seasonal props and put some out on display. Even the studio lights are in place and waiting for some posers to come by and get some shots done. Are you ready to book me?
The past week was about getting more stuff done, unpacked, organized and repaired (even my car got new tires, no more nasty screws stuck in them)and some swanky new sway bars which apparently I needed but my car STILL creaks, why?? A tad expensive but necessary. I even did a mini road trip to a road that's name intrigued me and had the right amount of curves for my liking. Bonus of that trip? I found a buddhist temple at the end of it. Yes you read that right. Pics to follow. Time to go, need to do my chores before tonight. I hope you all are doing well and staying safe and have a great weekend!
