#FrameItFriday (week 31 season 5)

My community recently got hit hard by a tornado that whipped through 10 minutes north of us at about 175kms/hr! We were very, very lucky we dodged that bullet. Very lucky. Many folks lost their homes, their livelihoods, vehicles, outbuildings and power. In fact, some are still without power. Thankfully, from what I know, there was only one minor injury. I posted some videos of some of the destruction earlier this week. I have a route that I like to travel once a week or so, it is up near that area worst hit but I didn't know how bad. It's bad, what once was a dense forest on a winding dirt road was now trampled on by mother nature's rage. I wonder what happened to the wildlife? What is odd is the night of the storm as the sky darkened and the wind picked up and we had a visit from 3 deer down in the orchard, a hummingbird moth out front frantically collecting pollen from the hosta flowers out in front of the kitchen window. "Run, fly for cover, there's a ripper coming through any second now." I think they knew and they wanted to grab a snack before the main event? I don't know. The best part of the whole storm? The people in our community out there helping out where and when they can. Chainsaws, chippers, axes, trucks and trailers lined up to help their neighbours. If you're local or headed up this way to your cottage, there's this you can attend and help out some kind folks in our community

Some of my social media will be silent over the next few days, I have scheduled my regular post to appear on some sites but not all of them. Going out of wifi range into the back country of Algonquin and am so excited!

Oh and about the photo? Just a chipmunk riverside in the

midst of his daily hygiene ritual, wanting some privacy lol.

Peace, love and kumbaya,
