Some weeks are frazzling. This week and well, last week too, took its toll on a few of us in more ways than we could ever imagine....throw in a full moon and well, things teeter on the brink of flying off the charts. Thus the photo of the Northern Flicker I saw off in the distance, enjoying some down time on a fence post looking like he'd been through the wringer too!
I just want you all to know that I began this page 9 years ago as a way to heal myself from a bunch of random crappy life experiences and lessons. Once in a while my images and quotes may seem to follow along with the world's current climate and mood but most of the time I try to steer clear of hot topics. Some reasons may be that I'm not that well versed or qualified to even discuss it and to tell you the truth I've always wanted my page to be a page you can just chill at.
We all need a little down time, chill time, giggle time, peaceful time, etc. etc. I would like to think that my page is that sort of virtual place to come to. I care about what is going on out there and I try my best to be the best person I can be for myself, my family and my community. There are enough online media outlets and forums that you can go and voice your concerns, beefs and advice on. My page will never be that. I want it to be like that quiet special place you can escape to either physically or mentally to sit back in peace, sip your coffee and feel at ease and enjoy. Even if it's just for a few seconds a day. Some days that's all we have are just a few quick seconds. I hope to be a part of that. (not me, my page, I'm too noisy lol). I hope you all are keeping well, if you're local to me it seems as though Mother Nature has finally turned that thermostat up and we can enjoy the outdoors. Perhaps she over dialled but it's better than snow, sleet and rain. Stay tuned, I've STILL got some more bird shots coming down the pipes mixed with a bit of odds and sods seen in my travels.
