#FrameItFriday (week 21 season 3)
A Day Later and a Dollar Short
Sorry I'm posting this late (if anyone cares lol). I was birding yesterday. The combination of the outdoors and being able to shoot were good for the spirit not so much for my feet, my neck and my shoulders....BUT it was wonderful to spend the day outdoors social distance birding with a couple of my friends. The only drawback was the fact that my one friend brought along boiled eggs for her lunch and I brought and ate 2 egg salad wraps. Not a great idea and that probably explains the low bird count after lunch lol.
The weather or just our dumb luck had the spirited rarely seen birds flitting about like dark clouds above us across the treetops in the forest. It was rare that some lit on a branch right before us, if one did it was either a Robin, a Grackle or Chipmunk. Having said all that I'll be dealing out some more bird shots for you over the next few weeks, I hope you enjoy looking at them.
This was the first week of phase 1 back to business in.our province. Lots more traffic out on the roads, calls for mandatory use of masks and local asparagus is coming to a store near you. I'm looking for a cool mask for myself, preferably home-made. I know a few of you on here are making them and I'd like to buy one from you BUT I want it to look funky. I'm actually looking for a black one with the word NOPE written on the front...either that or a camera on it or just a pretty one. If you're making and selling them shoot me a DM with a photo of it and a price please!
So about the photos accompanying this blog....the first one is a phone shot of the sunrise, proof I actually had my butt out of bed early enough to capture it. The second one is of an Oriole nest we came across late yesterday. Isn't it the coolest? It's weird as well to think that this random branch overhanging a trail will soon hold baby orioles and a parent! The nest reminds me of a grocery bag with a couple of apples in it being carried home from the store. Does that make sense? Anyhow, it works for me.
Hope you get out this weekend for some vitamin D.
Peace, love and kumbaya
