#FrameItFriday (week 19 season 3)

#FrameItFriday (week 19, season 3)

For once in a long time I have my #ChickPicotheDay shots all organized and teed up for the next few days. Much like this blog, it's usually "the morning of" that I stream through my shots and select the day's image. Most other things in my life are a bit more organized, planned and executed in a timely fashion then there's "I don't ever want to do it" or "I'm to tired to do that right now" over on my procrastination "to do" list. Do you have strict timelines for things or do you mostly fly by the seat of your pants? Just being nosy, after all it is day 1,396 of isolation right? The mind tends to wander around day 1,300 of isolation. lol

How are you all doing? I hope you are ok, I hope you're managing, I hope you're healthy. If you could go out and do ANYTHING right now (keep it clean please) what would you do? Personally, I'd like to be up at #StudioNorth with my family, playing some tunes and floating on #PartyIsland, throwing the ball for my grand puppy Kiddo or having a rambunctious game of A-hole (it's a real thing, look it up) or Sequence with us all at the big old farm table. Laughing at each other's jokes, eating copious bags of buck store junk food. Oh and of course give them all big old hugs! Soon we will be able to do that again. Soon. Fingers crossed.

SO....as you see I've been back to the Owl's nest. They're actually no longer in the nest, they outgrew it. The kids have fledged the nest but have not gone far yet.....they still need a bit of care from their amazing mum and need to be trained to survive on their own. Most likely they'll hang out with mum until around fall. The mum is pretty chill (much like most mum's) and they're pretty much accepted that people are interested in stopping by and looking at them. She's picked the highest, swaying-est (new word I just made up) tree in the whole forest. It was cool taking shots of them last night with a few new fellow photographers buddies (I posted the kids shot a few days back). Not to worry, we practised physical distancing (from each other and of course the owls too). It was nice to swap stories and share tips and advice with them. The owls just sat there sometimes staring down at us but mostly napping. I'm going to try and post the shots beginning Monday so keep tuned in.

My hips and butt convinced me this week to switch up some of my newer hobbies from baking to trying out woodworking. I had a skid leftover from our fence delivery and re-purposed it to a bean-bag toss game. It's pretty solid and it's a bit patchworked but it's going to work. I didn't have to go to the store for any parts, I used what I had here at the house. I'm quite proud of myself actually. My husband Paul has been working this entire time of isolation and I'm sure he wished he could be outside helping me but I wanted to make it for him. I even hand-stitched the bean bags made from 2 of my tea towels I have that are nice looking but useless for drying dishes. Let's just hope they don't split wide open on their first toss.

Ok, time to go, busy day ahead, lots of Zoom meetings etc (not really but I sound important now don't I?) I actually have to do some laundry........zzzzzzzzz.

Have a great weekend, stay safe, stay healthy, try and stay home and all that razamatazz.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mother's out there eh? (skin, fur, step, adopted, one's in heaven too, etc, etc.)

Peace, love and kumbaya,

Heather
