#FrameItFriday (Week 14 season 5)

#FrameItFriday (week 14 season 5)

Check what just came in! 30" wide x 40" tall (the canvas, not me lol) Isn't she a beauty? I've always loved my work on canvas. This image was taken at the top of Ragged Falls just west of Algonquin Park off a short trail from highway 60. I do not recommend hiking in there when it's mucky or icy (makes sense). I have a fall shot of it as well but there's just something about this angle of the roaring falls that I am fond of. It can get quite busy at this location (actually most of the Algonquin locations can be busy). I highly recommend you visit during the week if that's possible. If you are interested in this particular image, message me please. I haven't nailed a shipping cost down yet but will find out in the next few days. The base price is $180 if you pick it up. I realize you can go to a lot of stores and pick up cheap stock pic art but ALL of my images have some great stories behind the actual shot. Memories of the day, weather conditions, people we met along the way, dumb-ass things I did to get up to this specific location (I think it's funny, my husband on the other hand did not). It's pretty cool to know that back story, don't you think? Especially if it's funny, educational or scandalous! It's worth the price and you get to support a local, Canadian artist.

Ok, "the hard sell begging for buyers" commercial is over for this week's blog, let's talk about what's going on outside now shall we? Well, we're still trying to woo the Merganser couple to our pond but I'm not sure how that will go since I've seen that the muskrat, otter, whatever it's called is back (perhaps he/she never left). I snagged a quick shot of him washing his face but then he retreated to the bat cave. He lives in the bank of the pond behind our place. I heard peeping frogs, not many but once the rest of the band wakes up we'll have full on operas being performed here nightly. I'll post a video some time to day although it's not exciting quite yet. They're still rehearsing, but it won't be long now.

Time to end my blog for this week. Apparently we need groceries and who doesn't LOVE grocery shopping?? (she says sarcastically). Have a great weekend!

Peace, love and kumbaya, Heather #PhotoBlog #CanonGirl #HeatherCardlePhotographer

P.S.-I'm about to hit 10k followers on here (in a few weeks time). I wonder who'll be my 10,000th follower? Should I have a contest to celebrate??? Let me know in the comments below. Also don't forget to follow me as it could be YOU! Cheers!
